Estelle was originally inspired by early 20th century children’s books that may be considered inappropriate by today’s standards due to questionable content and advanced vocabulary. This book is certainly appropriate for all ages, but might not be understood by everyone because of the big words.
I wanted to write a story about a telepathic who was clumsy and awkward. It seems like all the telepathics I know are well-adjusted, confident folks. Estelle is a bit of a mess. And then she wins the lottery.
My daughter thinks this book is sad because it doesn’t have a happy ending. It’s not a sad ending, really, just a bit melancholy. You decide.
This book was crafted in Seattle, WA. The pictures were created with a computer and a variety of traditional materials. They are sold on the web in conjunction with the Lulu.com online bookstore.
